Welcome to the EnviroSorb website
We make use of the Enretech (Environmental Remediation Technology) product range. Essentially that means cleaning up oil spills with microbes that eat oil in a matter of days or weeks instead of years.
It is the cumulative and insidious effects of thousands of small spills that nature find so difficult to combat. The vast majority of oil reaching the environment comes from incidental, everyday small scale spills.
We specialize, through the use of Enretech products, in the treatment of hydrocarbon spills on land and water. Offer a complete package of expert service and advice, International recognized products, spill avoidance and spill cleanups.
In the past, ordinary oil absorbents were considered to be the accepted norm. Nowadays experts are insisting on Environmental Remediation Technology.

EnviroSorb can save your organization money
- by reducing the volume and number of clean-up products required – one-step process, no residue, no degreasers needed;
- by reducing the volume of wastes for disposal – lighter and less bulky than alternatives;
- by reducing clean-up times and plant down time – fast and total absorbency; no need to remove earth after oil absorption;
- by reducing employee time lost to ill health – fast removal and remediation of hydrocarbon contaminants; and
- by preventing pollution fines – through fast, effective and legal clean-up and disposal practices.
- Cost-effective Protection of the Environment
The development of environmental legislation over the past few years has accelerated to the point where, increasingly, local council officers are now becoming the enforcers of the legislation.
A number of changes are taking place regarding not only the way workshop and industrial wastes are handled, but also how they are correctly and legally disposed of.
Most councils now require that waste absorbents which leech and do not bioremediate be bagged and collected by licensed contractors. This also includes rags used to mop up hydrocarbon spills.
Government and local authorities are going to great lengths to educate and remind business operators, company directors and managers that they will be liable for illegal waste disposal.
There has been an increasing number of environmental court cases with prosecutions, the majority being service managers, company owners and unlicensed waste contractors. And although large companies can perhaps afford to pay the heavy fines imposed, the public is becoming increasingly aware of which companies are perceived not to be responsible corporate citizens.
More stringent waste control measures can also lead to higher costs for industry. So, while improved environmental protection and better waste management is gaining greater support and implementation, there is an accompanying awareness and ongoing search for more cost-effective methods of implementing the requirements of legislation and basic conservation concerns.
